Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week is the heart of fashion, it's like a walking art gallery filled with the most unique clothes and famous people. I got the opportunity to sit back and see everything that goes on (through a street view, not in the actual show). Here I talk about some of my favorites that I saw on the streets, what my experience was like and what I thought was fab this season.

8 Trend Predictions

I am no fortune teller or fashion expert but I did see some trends that I think will be big this 2022-23.

  1. metallic/ silver and gold

  2. colorful long skirts

  3. button vests

  4. bright pant suits

  5. bigger messenger/crossbody bags

  6. all denim

  7. leather skirts

  8. classic style

Streetstyle Looks

Unfortunately, my phone died halfway through the night and all I had was my disposable camera, so more photos to come later.

Maud (@Maudito) and Bryan (@Bryan_beauseigle) showed up to the Versace show in head to toe black.

Lots of metallic this season

and neon @carodaur love you

@leoniehanne kinda fan girled over this one, I heart you Leonie

My Favorite Looks Of The Week

Bottega Venta

This collection was unique compared to all of the other houses. Bottega Venta chose a more underwhelming, calm route for this seasons collection. But honestly, I loved it.

Giorgio Armani

The colors of this collection were perfect. It was airy and light with the baby blue but also strong and powerful with deep, royal blues. I wasn't a huge fan of the tennis shoes but my opinion doesn't matter.

Gucci

Even if you aren't a Gucci fan, you cannot tell me that this show was not brilliant. I'm not talking about the clothes, I am talking about the concept (but of course the clothes were insane as well). Gucci had 68 sets of twins model this season. While having a wall down the whole show, for the final walk, the wall was lifted and revealed the twins as they came together for one more strut down the runway.

Tod's

Versace

Versace has never really been my style, but sitting outside of the show while it went on might have changed my opinion. I think it has been one of my most favorite moments since I've been in Europe. Between the energy outside and the energy inside (the music choice was impeccable) it was so unreal. Everyone started yelling when Paris Hilton wowed the crowd closing the show.

Moncler

Moncler celebrated 70 years in Milan. Their show took place outside the Duomo. This is something I will never forget. It was pouring rain outside as we waited for the show to start. They filled the floor with almost 2000 dancers/models as they showed off their gorgeous white snow suits.

I could go on and on about more brands but I think it might get a little too long. Overall, my experience in Milan was a 10 out of 10. If you ever find yourself in Milan, New York, Paris or London during fashion week- find the schedule and stand outside of the show. You never know who you will run into. Even if you aren't attending a show, it is fun to get dressed up in your favorite outfit!
